Backup Recoverability Analyzer

Paste a backup and recovery policy and see the handful of things that decide whether an organisation actually recovers, rather than whether the document is complete. An untested backup is an assumption: a policy can state a perfect schedule, three copies and a four-hour RTO and still be fiction, because none of that is evidence a restore has ever finished — so the restore-testing fields dominate, and a policy that has never been tested cannot reach a pass however well the rest of it reads. Findings separate what was CLAIMED from what can be settled inside the text itself, such as a recovery point objective that is arithmetically unreachable at the stated backup frequency. Entirely local: nothing in the policy is resolved or contacted, and fields that look like credentials are named but never quoted back.

Everything runs locally on what you paste. No host, bucket or provider named in the policy is resolved or contacted, and a field that looks like a credential is named but never quoted back to you.

What happens to what you enter

  • The analysis runs on Solvex servers. What is recorded afterwards is a SHA-256 hash of your input and a coarse summary of the outcome — never the input itself, and never a result you could be identified from.
  • Tools that read public sources (certificate logs, DNS, a public chain) contact those sources from our servers through a fetcher that refuses private and internal addresses.
  • An email address is stored only where a tool offers to send you a report and you choose to give one.

Limits: ten runs of this tool per minute from one address, and three signed reports per minute. Past that the tool says so and tells you when to try again.
