- We do not negotiate with or pay threat actors, and will not broker it

Anyone holding the report can verify it publicly without seeing its contents. Fixes are retested as part of the engagement — “fixed” means we confirmed it.
Questions we are asked
- Should we pay the ransom?
- That is a decision for you, your counsel and your insurer, and there are sanctions implications in some jurisdictions. What we will tell you is what recovery without payment realistically looks like given your backups — often better than people fear, and occasionally worse.
- Why a clean room rather than restoring in place?
- Because restoring into an environment that still contains the attacker's access simply re-encrypts you, sometimes within days. The clean room lets you rebuild identity and services in isolation and validate them before anything touches production.
- Our backups were encrypted too. Is it over?
- Not necessarily. Immutable snapshots, offline copies, cloud versioning, SaaS retention and even individual workstations often survive. We check thoroughly before concluding, because that conclusion is expensive to get wrong.
